BlackBerry releases Q10 smartphone
Keyboard aficionados finally have a brand new Blackberry device to keep them busy.
The Blackberry Q10 made its Canadian debut in a Toronto-only release on Wednesday, and the early reception was positive.
Mobile phone stores reported brisk sales — mostly for pre-registered units, but also by walk-in purchasers.
The Q10 combines a full QWERTY keyboard with a touch screen and fast, LTE network speed.
Consumers were last offered a new, keyboard-model Blackberry in November 2011.
Blackberry’s Z10 touchscreen phone was released in Canada at the beginning of February, and made its way to the U.S. in late-March.
